Still jumping court ship

After another bizarrely aborted court appearance Wednesday, Britney Spears was again denied the right to see her sons.

The singer entered the Los Angeles courthouse and went through security screening, but then suddenly announced that she wanted to leave, a court spokesman said.

Spears, 26, and ex-husband Kevin Federline are battling over custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Wednesday’s emergency hearing was requested by Spears to discuss her visitation rights, which were suspended earlier this month when Federline was awarded custody.

That suspension was upheld during another emergency hearing last week. Spears also arrived at court for that hearing, but then quickly turned around and left, chased by photographers.

Meanwhile, Federline’s lawyer tells People magazine that Spears gave a “gut-wrenching” performance when she finally was deposed in the case Monday.

Mark Vincent Kaplan refused to reveal specifics of the grilling, but said Spears went over painful material about her life.

Out of the picture?

The wife of Britney Spears‘ paparazzo pal has filed for legal separation, amid reports that he and Spears have broken up as well.

Adnan Ghalib told “The Insider” that he grew closer to Spears in late December, after photographing her for several years.

The relationship really blossomed after Spears was hospitalized following a police standoff where she refused to return her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline, he added: “We managed to spend a long time together, away from the media.”

But the British tabloid The Mirror reports that Spears has dumped Ghalib, complaining he was exploiting her to boost his career.

Airing the rap sheets

On the celebrity rapper beat, Busta Rhymes pleaded guilty Wednesday to assaulting his ex-driver and a fan, in return for three years’ probation and 10 days of community service.

Rhymes, 35, also must pay a $1,250 fine, plus court costs, for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license.

And Lil Wayne was arrested on three felony drug charges Wednesday after federal agents said they found illegal drugs including cocaine on his charter bus at a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona.

Crack house to big house?

British singer Amy Winehouse (“Rehab”) has reportedly returned to a treatment center, even as Scotland Yard launched an investigation Wednesday into a new video that allegedly shows her smoking crack.

The 24-year-old Winehouse’s purported binge took place hours before she showed up in court Friday to give moral support to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who faces assault charges.
