‘Office’ spinoff to include ‘SNL’ regular

From wire reports

Amy Poehler has confirmed that she’ll be joining NBC’s planned “Office” spinoff, paving the way for her eventual exit from “Saturday Night Live.”

Poehler, 36, has been a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” since 2001 and in recent seasons has served as a co-anchor on “Weekend Update.” On Thursday, she received an Emmy nomination for best supporting actress in a comedy series.

An NBC spokesman had no comment. The network and “Office” executive producer Greg Daniels have been keeping quiet about details of the new show.

Zach scrubs out

Zach Braff says he will leave “Scrubs” after the end of its new season, which will be the medical comedy’s first on ABC after seven years on NBC.

“J.D. will be leaving the hospital,” series creator Bill Lawrence says of Braff’s quirky, character. “And without giving away too much, the show is about whether, when you leave, you can hold on to your relationships or not.”

Braff said he hopes to return as a guest star if “Scrubs” continues beyond its eighth season – a possibility that ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson has said he is open to.

Pam checks in

The E! network’s reality show starring Pamela Anderson will be making its way to your TV screen next month.

“Pam: Girl on the Loose” is scheduled to premiere Aug. 3. It promises a “truly personal and in-depth glimpse” into Anderson’s life as a mother, working actress and animal-rights activist.
