First Friday ArtWalk

Here’s the schedule for this month’s First Friday Art Walk in downtown Spokane. Venues are open from 5-8 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

•A Town and Country Floral, 309 W. Second – “Koi on Acrylic,” by Ellen Blaschke. Music by Darrin Hildebrand.

•Antwiqu’ed, 309 W. Second – Works by artist/photographer/designer Luke Fuller, Rebecca Garritty’s designs and shapes on canvas, and Ben Joyce’s abstract interpretations of geographical maps. Music by Darrin Hildebrand.

•Arbor Crest, River Park Square, third level, 808 W. Main – Abstract paintings by Mary Rapp.

•Artisans’ Wares, River Park Square, second level, 808 W. Main – Works by more than 120 artists and small studios from the Spokane area and throughout the United States, featuring jewelry by local artists Jon Lepper, Kris Howell and Deb Ellis.

•Artist’s Tree Gallery & Boutique, 828 W. Sprague – “Wonders of Egg Tempera” by Lorraine Krank and “Joyful Expression” oil on copper by Irene Dahl. Music by harpist Nancy Davis, 7 p.m.

•Avenue West Gallery, 122 S. Monroe – “Itinerant Artist,” works by Jack Lantz. Music by guitarist/singerTracy Carr. (5-9 p.m.)

•Barrister Winery, 1213 Railroad Ave. – “Art in the Alley,” acoustic blues by “Lonesome” Lyle Morse.

•Brews Brothers, 10 N. Post – Downtown Spokane photographs by Robert and Sky Cross.

•Brick Wall Gallery, Bennett Block, Main and Howard, second floor skywalk level – Photographs by Joe Nuess, Richard Heinzen, Tony Roche.

•Brooklyn Nights, 122 S. Monroe – Oils/mixed media by Jessica Laprade. Music by the Joshua Cain Band. (5 p.m.-1 a.m.)

•Center Pointe, 1408 N. Washington – Glass art and paintings by Conrad Bagley; glass fusing demonstrations.

•CenterStage, 1017 W. First – Photographs by Leonid Bergoltsev.

•Chase Gallery at City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. – Mixed-media collages and books by Sally Graves Machlis; Todd Volz’s mixed-media sculptural pieces.

•Constant Creations, 524 W. First – “Bees, Seas and Pleasant Trees,” paintings by Tiffany Patterson.

•Empyrean Coffee House, 154 S. Madison – Realistic portraits and abstract concepts by Laurentia Colhoff; music by Mark Ward, Pat McHenry and Stephen Lloyd.

•Express Personnel, 331 W. Main – “Out of the Box,” assemblage boxes and lanterns, many with sound and lights, by Larry Ellingson.

•Gallery 1889, 2124 W. Second – Works by Rhedi Williams, Karen Swanson and Jerron Smith.

•Gallery of Thum’, Steam Plant Square, 159 S. Lincoln, Suite 151 – Watercolors, acrylics, pen and ink by Dee Gumenberg; oil on copper and egg tempera by Shirley Erlandsen; photography by Susan Rameres. Jazz and blues music by Annie O’Neill, 6 p.m. (5-9:45 p.m.)

•First Friday on Garland, between Monroe and Division: Garland Business District merchants offer special events, activities and nightlife.

•Gina’s Design Corner, 1 N. Browne – “Meditations in Colour,” artwork on copper and egg tempera by Irene Dahl. (5-9 p.m.)

•Global Credit Union, 726 W. Riverside – Various works on display through the windows.

•Grande Ronde Cellars, 906 W. Second – Marble sculpture, vineyard photos and paintings by Alexie Kazantsev.

•Lorinda Knight Gallery, 523 W. Sprague – “Flat Space,” mixed-media installation by Bradd Skubinna. (6-8 p.m.)

•Madeleine’s Cafe & Patisserie, 707 W. Main – Guitar music and vocals by Dan Conrad.

•Mobius Kids, River Park Square, lower level, 808 W. Main – “Children in the Sun,” oil paintings by Ellen Blaschke. (10 a.m.-5 p.m.)

•Pottery Place Plus, 203 N. Washington – Hand-painted drums and rattles by Sarah Prior and hand-felted jewelry by Gayle Kruger. (5-9 p.m.)

•Saranac Art Projects, 25 W. Main – “Abandon: The Work of Jim Hodges and Storm Tharp.”

•Spokane Transit Authority Plaza, 701 W. Riverside, second floor – Abstract oil paintings by Guy Baldovi and “Nurturing Children’s Creativity,” artwork by children from downtown Spokane child care centers and the Head Start program. Acoustic guitar music by Gary Burris, 6:30-7:30 p.m. (6 p.m.)

•Tangerine, 1019 W. First – Featuring two lines of jewelry by Kate Reed.
