Rossi can unify GOP

Never having been to one, last weekend I attended the Washington state GOP convention here in Spokane. While Paul vs. McCain grabbed some of the attention and bluster, there was another bigger theme that required no debate – everyone loves Dino Rossi.

The rank and file, old-timers and grass-roots newbies all wore their Rossi stickers proudly. He spoke on a couple occasions and it was very clear that he’s got what it takes and is the unifying figure of our state Republican Party.

I, for one, am looking forward to voting for a candidate without reservations or having to rationalize the decision.
