DeFrances (Dibble) Edwards
DeFrances Luella (Dibble) Edwards is celebrating her 100th birthday today. She was born June 13, 1908, in Clermont, Iowa, and has been a resident of Spokane for the past 57 years.
Edwards met her husband, Lloyd Edwards, while visiting relatives in Spokane. They were married in Spokane on March 24, 1930.
Edwards worked for Spokane Sartori Jewelers and Dodson’s Jewelers for many years. She enjoyed being involved with youth groups, women’s study groups and her church.
Edwards attributes her long and healthy life to an insatiable appetite for learning. One of her most rewarding life achievements is the influence she had on all of her children and grandchildren to pursue college educations.
Edwards has three children: Arlene Lee, Otis Orchards, Janice Gesche, Shelton, Wash., and David Edwards, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
