Wedding vows were exchanged by Gretchen Davis and James DeSarno in a Sept. 1 ceremony at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle.

Patricia and Walter Davis Jr., Spokane, are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Michael DeSarno, Mount Airy, Md., and Judith DeSarno, Omaha, Neb.

A reception at the wedding site followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Seattle after a honeymoon in Hawaii.

The bride, a graduate of Santa Clara University and the University of Washington, is a mental health counselor at Ingraham High School. The groom is a co-owner of Windward Contracting.
