Vacation Bible school

It’s Vacation Bible school time at Hope Lutheran Church. The church will host a VBS session July 14-18 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The theme of the event for children age 4 through the sixth grade is “Friendship Trek: Jesus, Our Forever Friend.”

There is no charge for the session, but donations will be accepted. Call the church, 17909 E. Broadway Ave., at 924-1630 to register.

Summer movie

Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road, will show a family movie and dish up some popcorn today at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
