Mormon history tomes planned

The Mormon church is launching a Church Historian’s Press to publish works detailing the faith’s early history and growth, beginning with a massive series about its founder.

The Joseph Smith Papers, to be released later this year, will include “everything of a written nature Joseph Smith generated, or over which he had oversight,” a spokesman said.

Between 25 and 30 volumes are expected in the series.
