Clubs teach local angles

A backpacking school and a fly-fishing school conducted each year in Spokane have one important common denominator.

Both schools are organized by active clubs that continue to nurture their students long after they “graduate.”

The Spokane Mountaineers organize a year-round schedule of group outings ranging from evening walks to wilderness treks that deliver long after the last session ends.

The Spokane Fly Fishers schedule spring and summer “fish-ins” at lakes and streams throughout the region, where club members share their fish-catching techniques on specific waters.
