Sam Skillingstad pitched a complete-game no-hitter for the visiting Shadle Park Highlanders as they defeated Central Valley 14-0 in a Greater Spokane League opener on Tuesday. Skillingstad tallied 13 strikeouts and one walk, and went 1 for 4 with a home run and three runs batted in. … Kelsie Vallies went the distance for North Central, struck out seven batters and knocked in the winning run to give the Indians a 6-5 edge over the host University Titans. U-Hi led 5-2 heading to the final inning but allowed four bases on balls. … Delaney Zalund struck out 18 batters and Mt. Spokane rolled to a 7-1 win against visiting Lewis and Clark. Zalund also added a 2-for-4 performance at the plate and knocked in two runs. Mt. Spokane’s Chelsea Gray went 3 for 3 with a run scored and Korinna Baker logged two hits and two RBIs. … Molly Anderson hit a grand slam in the fourth inning for the Gonzaga Bullpups and they cruised to an 8-0 win over visiting Rogers. Anderson finished 2 for 3 with five RBIs. … Tiffany Lookabill went 3 for 4 with five RBIs and two runs scored as the Mead Panthers notched a 13-2 road win over the Ferris Saxons. Taneesha Pounder earned the victory for Mead with a complete-game performance that featured seven strikeouts. Katie Kine scored three runs for Mead. The Panthers scored eight runs in the second inning.

Pullman’s Amr Alamri recorded a hat trick and teammate David Sharratt kicked in another two goals for the Greyhounds as they beat the host Clarkston Bantams 6-3 in Great Northern League play. Clarkston struck first when Austin Durfee scored the first of his two goals 45 seconds into the match. The Bantams allowed 18 shots on goal. … Also in the GNL, Mitch Weller scored a goal and recorded two assists for Cheney as the Blackhawks downed visiting Medical Lake 5-0. Alex Bray also added a goal and an assist. … Deer Park’s Sergiy Berezhnoy stopped nine shots and counterpart James Jackson saved 12 shots for Colville, but Kevin McNeil made good on a breakaway and scored for the visiting Stags as they defeated the Indians 2-0. … Garrett Tate scored two goals and added an assist for the host Lakeside Eagles as they beat the Chewelah Cougars 5-1 at Nine Mile Falls. Casey Duclos scored the match’s first goal and assisted on both of Tate’s scores.
