S pokane is a city of arts and artists.

The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture – better known as the MAC – is dedicated to bringing art and culture to the region. And for 23 years they’ve been celebrating and fundraising by throwing a party each spring.

This year’s Works from the Heart art auction and gala, held at the Spokane Masonic Center, was a fun affair. After a meal catered by The Glover Mansion, diners raised their paddles bidding on works by local and regional artists including Gina Freuen, Gordon Wilson and Melissa Cole.

At the end of the evening auction winners lined up to claim their prizes original works by recognized artists – and the museum’s acquisition funds were a little fatter.

That’s something to celebrate.
