Celtics rally for win

Paul Pierce scored 22 points, Kevin Garnett added 21 and the Boston Celtics rallied to beat the San Antonio Spurs 93-91 on Monday night in San Antonio.

Rajon Rondo added 20 points for the Celtics, Sam Cassell added 17 points. Cassell gave Boston its first lead of the fourth quarter with 46 seconds left when he hit a 3-pointer to make it 89-87.

San Antonio trailed 93-89 after Eddie House hit two foul shots for Boston to make it a two-possession game with 9.6 seconds left. Parker then got an easy basket for San Antonio but it appeared too late for the Spurs. But with two seconds left, Bruce Bowen stole the ball from Garnett on the inbounds play and passed to Robert Horry, whose 3-point attempt missed. Horry sank to the ground, his head in his hands.

Manu Ginobili had 32 points to lead the Spurs. Tony Parker added 17 points and Tim Duncan scored 10.

Hawks 105, Wizards 96: At Washington, Mike Bibby scored 23 points and Joe Johnson added 18 points and 10 assists to lead Atlanta over the Wizards.

Josh Smith had 17 points for the Hawks, who made 55.4 percent of their shots.

Magic 104, Cavaliers 90: At Orlando, Fla., Dwight Howard had 23 points and 13 rebounds, Rashard Lewis scored 21 and the Magic beat Cleveland.

Orlando was 14 of 32 on 3s, compared with 6 of 19 for the Cavaliers.

Pacers 110, Knicks 98: At Indianapolis, Mike Dunleavy tied his career high with 36 points as Indiana beat New York.

The Pacers held the Knicks to 37 percent shooting and held an opponent under 100 points for the first time since the All-Star break.

Timberwolves 99, Clippers 90: At Minneapolis, Al Jefferson had his 48th double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds, Ryan Gomes scored 19 points and Minnesota beat Los Angeles.

Corey Maggette had 34 points for Los Angeles.

Grizzlies 98, Bobcats 80: At Memphis, Tenn., Mike Miller had 18 points and 13 rebounds, helping the Grizzlies snap a four-game losing streak with a victory over Charlotte.

Juan Carlos Navarro led Memphis with 21 points.

The Charlotte starters scored only 36 points in the game.

Hornets 108, Bulls 97: At New Orleans, Chris Paul scored a game-high 37 points to give the Hornets a come-from-behind win over Chicago.

Paul also had a game-high 13 assists, 10 in the first half, along with three steals.

Jazz 96, Raptors 79: At Salt Lake City, Deron Williams scored 21 points and his backup, Ronnie Price, had 13 points and five assists as Utah tied a franchise record with their 19th straight home victory, a win over Toronto.

Carlos Boozer had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz.
