Symphony takes chamber music to Old Church
The Spokane Symphony is bringing its “chamber soiree” concept to Post Falls tonight.
Smaller groups of orchestra musicians will perform chamber music selections at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center at The Old Church, similar to the soiree series in Spokane at the Davenport Hotel.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for concertgoers to preview the art exhibition in the upstairs gallery, with part of the proceeds from any art sales going to the Spokane Symphony Associates. Light hors d’ouevres and wine will be served.
Music begins at 7:30, including a woodwind quartet by Rossini, a piece for flute, viola and harp by Beethoven, and a string quartet by Hayden.
Tickets are $30, through the Jacklin center (208-457-8950), the symphony ticket office (509-624-1200) or TicketsWest outlets (509-325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com).
