Vintage trumpet
Q: I have a trumpet that was given to me during the 1940s by an uncle when I took up the instrument in my high-school band. He played it while he was at the U.S. Naval Training Base at Great Lakes, Ill., during World War I. The trumpet is “The Peerless” and was made by M.J. Kalashen and patented in 1910. Any idea of what its value might be? — Rudolph, Palm Coast, Fla.
