Sixth Annual PTSA South Pines Carnival - Carnival fun includes pony rides, petting zoo, bingo, clown with balloons, jump house, fishing game, spin the wheel for candy, cake walk, food and more. Mayfest Outdoor 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament - Hosted by Cheney Parks and Recreation. Games start Friday evening and continue Saturday morning, double elimination format. Registration required. Slammer Jammer Shootout - Ponderosa Elementary teachers and staff face off in the “Slammer Jammer Shootout” basketball game. The Ponderosa Recorder Pep Band and the University High School Drum Line will perform before the game and during half-time. Walk ‘N’ Rock - Two-part event to help raise awareness and money for congenital heart disease and support local area youth affected by it. Begin at 10 a.m. at Riverfront Park and walk with our team in the American Heart Associations heart walk. Rock to music beginning at 5:30 p.m. at The Big Easy with London Get Down, The Let Up, The Jonnyforest, International Heroes and Sweet Hollow. Walk is free; concert is $10-$35/advance, $12/door.
