Bill and Maxine Brown will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows, followed by an open house, at St. Francis of Assisi Church on May 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Hosts for the event will include their children and spouses: Pat and Rick Keir, Spokane; Kelly and Jackie Brown, Colbert; Lori and Jon Roman, Elk; and Sue Bartol, Pensacola, Fla. Their son-in-law, George Bartol, is deceased.

The couple were married May 21, 1943, in Coeur d’Alene. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
