Tyler Druffel threw a one-hit shutout, striking out seven, to lead host Pullman over Medical Lake (8-10) 10-0 in the first round of the District 7 2A playoffs Tuesday. Travis Cooper scored three runs and had an RBI for the Greyhounds (12-5). Pullman will play at West Valley at 4 p.m. today. … Rick Heuschkel went the distance on the mound, allowing only one run, and Matt Walker had a two-run single in the third as host Cheney defeated Colville (9-9) 5-1. The Blackhawks (14-6) play at Clarkston at 4 p.m. today.

Tyler Ford struck out seven in a three-hit shutout as host Freeman (17-1) defeated Chelan 3-0 in a District 6-7 1A playoff game. Chris Miller went 3 for 3 with an RBI for the Scotties. … Luke Schauer threw a complete game, striking out five, as host Cascade (Leavenworth) beat Chewelah (11-9) 6-3. … Abe Mega threw a no-hitter, striking out six as Freeman (18-1) beat Cascade 3-0 in its second playoff game. … Stryker Smith went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs scored as Chewelah (12-9) beat Chelan 15-10 in a loser-out game. … Jake Graham went 2 for 4 with a grand slam as Lakeside (Nine Mile) beat Brewster 15-9 at Eastmont. Lakeside (14-6) opened the day with a win over Omak and will play Freeman at 4 p.m. Saturday in Wenatchee for the district title.

Brock Slocum pitched a complete-game five-hitter as Garfield-Palouse beat visiting Tri-Cities Prep 7-2 in the District 9 1B playoffs. The Vikings will play Touchet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Pasco.

Warren Miller, Nate Miller and Roy Tubio were all double winners as the St. John-Endicott boys won the District 9 1B meet in Walla Walla. Haley Reiber was a triple winner as the St. John-Endicott girls won their side. The top three in lane events, top four in distances and top four in field events will participate in regionals Tuesday at Spokane Falls Community College. … In the District 9 2B meet, the Asotin boys and Waitsburg-Prescott girls won. The top eight in each event advance to regionals Monday and Tuesday in Clarkston.

Erik Hille won the shot put and discus to lead the Lind-Ritzville boys to the Bi-County League championship at Spokane Falls Community College. Suzanne Gust, Lauren Gust and Kelsey Arlt each won an event to help Lind-Ritzville win the girls’ half of the meet. The boys’ top four in lane events and top six in non-lane and field events advance to district. For the girls, the top five in lane events and top seven in non-lane and field events advance. … Odessa’s boys and girls each won the 1B divisions at the Bi-County League championships.

Boys soccer

Casey Duclos scored two goals and had an assist as Lakeside (Nine Mile) beat host Chelan 3-2 in the 1A/2B Tri-District playoffs. Lakeside (11-6) is guaranteed a spot in the state playoffs and will play Saturday at 7 p.m. in Wenatchee for the regional championship.

Amr Alamri scored the winning goal in the 80th minute to lead Pullman to a 2-1 victory over Deer Park (8-7) in the District 7 2A playoffs. David Sharratt had two assists in the win for the Greyhounds (15-3). Pullman will play at Cheney on Thursday at 4 p.m. … John Daniels and Kazuma Fuwa each scored in the final five minutes to lift Medical Lake (8-8) past host Riverside (10-8) 2-1. The Cardinals will play at West Valley at 4 p.m. Thursday.
