To find out the status of your federal economic stimulus check, visit a site created by the Internal Revenue Service:

https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/ IRServlet?app=IRACTC.

You’ll be asked to enter your Social Security number, which won’t be stored on the site. You’ll also need to know the total number of exemptions claimed on your 2007 return.
