CenterStage starts fundraiser
CenterStage, the nonprofit organization that runs Ella’s Supper Club and the CenterStage dinner theater, announced a $225,000 fundraising drive and restructuring on Monday.
A new executive director, Don Swanson, replaces interim executive director Leslie Ann Grove, who returns to her role as music director. Tim Behrens remains artistic director.
Dinner theater productions will be “curtailed for the foreseeable future” after the current run of “Talking With” and the upcoming “Pot Luck.” The organization will instead concentrate on Ella’s Supper Club and the catering and events business.
About $70,000 has been raised in contributions and matching fund pledges. CenterStage hopes to receive matching donations by the end of May. The drive will run until November.
