Ex-Idaho teacher indicted on sex charges
A former Idaho teacher already facing felony charges for alleged sexual abuse at a Latah County summer camp has been indicted on 12 other felony sex charges.
Timothy Andrew Kellis, 38, was arraigned Monday on 10 counts of lewd conduct with a minor younger than 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a child. He’s being held in the Latah County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The charges are in addition to the seven counts of lewd conduct and one count of sexual abuse Kellis was charged with last month following his April 12 arrest. The Latah County prosecutor’s office alleges that Kellis committed the crimes while working at Camp Grizzly Boy Scout Camp.
A band director at A.G. West Black Hills High School in Tumwater since 2006, Kellis is on paid administrative leave and hasn’t been at school since his arrest, said Bob Kuehl, human resources director for the Tumwater School District. Kellis taught at Highland High School in Craigmont, Idaho, from 2001 to 2006, according to police.
