Poor management hurts M’s
I am sorry to see the M’s struggle, but I agree with William J. Hiatt (Letters, May 11, “M’s ‘list’ should be longer”) and Matthew Del Riccio (Letters, May 4, “Blame M’s woes on Bavasi”). If a company falters, it is because of bad management at the top. I have been a Mariners fan for 30 years, and Seattle management still hasn’t learned the importance of good, consistent pitching. As for McLaren, I agree that his appointment last year and again this season was flabbergasting. Putting McLaren in charge is like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
