EWU men fall to Carroll

Andy Garland had 17 points and 12 rebounds and the Carroll College Fighting Saints stunned the Eastern Washington Eagles 58-56 in a men’s basketball exhibition game at Reese Court in Cheney on Saturday.

Trey Gross scored 17 to pace the Eagles, who shot just 21 percent from the floor in the first half and fell behind by 19 points.

Eagles returning center Brandon Moore sat out with a knee injury. Returning guard Adris DeLeon and junior college transfer Chris Busch are not yet eligible to play.
