Grading the cougars: D-

Quarterback: D-

Lopina helped the offense move down the field, but also threw two picks, though only one his fault.

Running backs: D

Too often there was too much dancing before hitting the hole. And the fumbles were killers.

Receivers: D-

There were at least five drops including a deflection off Gibson’s hands that resulted in an interception.

Offensive line: D-

The four sacks and the lack of a running game add up to failure here.

Defensive line: F

This group, especially in the middle, was almost invisible most of the game.

Linebackers: D

With such little resistance up front, Trent and company were asked to make too many plays.

Defensive backs: D-

For a team which never passes the ball, there were a lot of open receivers.

Special teams: C

Decent kickoff returns were balanced by short punts and a muffed one.

Coaching: D

There is only so much that can be done and it seems the group is trying just about everything.
