Way, way back
Prior to Saturday’s shutout losses by Washington State (58-0 at Stanford) and Washington (56-0 at USC), the Cougars and Huskies had not been shut out on the same day since Nov. 27, 1948.
That day Penn State beat WSU 7-0 and Notre Dame blanked UW 46-0.
In case you’re curious, the Cougars and Huskies have played three scoreless ties against each other – in 1932, 1934 and 1942.
