Bernadette Garner exchanged wedding vows with Kenneth Sweatt in a Sept. 28 ceremony at Shelley Lake.

The bride is the daughter of Mary Ann Mathews, Coeur d’Alene, and the late Tom Mathews. Hugh and Rita Sweatt, San Jose, are the parents of the groom.

A reception was held at a private residence on Shelley Lake. The couple are living in Spokane Valley after a honeymoon in Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico.

The bride works as vice president of real estate at Idaho Independent Bank. The groom, a graduate of Whitworth University, is the owner of Optical Elegance in Spokane.
