Auditions

‘The Women of Lockerbie’ – Spokane Civic Theatre will host auditions Dec. 1-2, 6:30 p.m., at 1020 N. Howard St. Needed are four women, between the ages of 40-70, and two men, age 40-60. Watercolor Landscapes – Two-day class for adults to learn how to paint watercolor landscapes, taught by Coeur d’Alene artist Wes Hanson, Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, Uniontown, Wash. American and Cultural Folk Dance Instruction – Offered by Silver Spurs Folk Dancers, for ages 9-18. Meetings

Idaho Writers League – Coeur d’Alene Chapter – Group of writers of all genres, ages teens through seniors, meets to exchange ideas, learn through workshops how to improve their craft, and provide support. Meets the second Wednesday of each month, 9 a.m.-noon, at Jewett House, 1501 Lakeshore Drive, Coeur d’Alene. Wednesday’s program will be “Adding Emotional Content to your Writing.” Also meets third Thursday of each month, 6:30-9:30 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. Ramsey Road. Next Thursday’s program will be the “Books for Christmas” event, with league member authors selling their personalized, published books. Visitors are welcome.
