True love trumps big money

From wire reports

Beyoncé insists she would have never considered selling photos of her hush-hush wedding to Jay-Z to a glossy celebrity magazine. Still, the singer acknowledges she was amazed at the amount of money that was offered.

“Now, they offer crazy money that’s just ridiculous,” Beyoncé told The Associated Press. “But in the end, absolutely not. It’s so not worth it. If anything, if you want to put something out, then put it out,” but not for money.

Beyoncé, whose CD “I Am … Sasha Fierce” comes out next Tuesday, and Jay-Z were married in April in New York.

“We worked really hard at keeping it private,” she said. “I’ve always been this way, and he’s always been this way, so that’s why we complement each other. We always knew that it would be private and quiet, for all the right reasons.”

But cash does trump faux love

British movie star Sienna Miller is both “completely happy” and a bit more flush after her recent split from “Brothers and Sisters” star Balthazar Getty.

Miller was awarded 35,000 pounds (about $54,000) in a lawsuit against two London tabloids, the Sun and News of the World, for “intrusive articles and photos” published of her and Getty back in June and July. Both newspapers admitted fault and released an apology to Miller.

Whoa, Beav, big time!

Tony Dow, best known as the actor who portrayed The Beav’s big brother, Wally, in the 1950s sitcom “Leave It to Beaver,” will have one of his abstract sculptures on display at the Louvre. Several sculptors from the Karen Lynne Gallery – including Dow – will have their works shown at a special exhibit.

“Having something shown at the Louvre is about as good as you can get,” said Dow, 63, who lives in Los Angeles. “I’m a little humbled by the whole thing but grateful nonetheless.”

Will Obama score a TD?

Keith Olbermann will continue his dual sports/politics role at MSNBC for the next four more years, the network said Monday. Under his new contract, Olbermann will continue hosting “Countdown” as well serve as cohost of NBC’s “Football Night in America.”
