Broncos at Falcons

Time: 10 a.m. TV: CBS

Line: Falcons by 6 1/2 .

Records: Broncos (5-4);

Falcons (6-3)

Broncos: Injuries just keep piling up on the Broncos, who are down to rookie fullback Peyton Hillis as the starting running back and may have six defensive regulars out. There’s only so much a team can take.

Falcons: Falcons have built a home-dome advantage, going 4-0 in the Georgia Dome. Matt Ryan should have room to throw against a banged up defense.

Fantasy outlook: Jay Cutler can keep Broncos in the game threw the air – he has thrown 18 TD passes vs. 11 interceptions. Falcons’ Michael Turner, averaging 4.4 yards per carry, has scored six TDs in four home games.

Injuries: Ryan Torain (knee) is the latest Bronco running back to be lost for the season … Broncos may also go without middle linebacker Nate Webster (knee).

Lions at Panthers

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Panthers by 14.

Records: Lions (0-9);

Panthers (7-2)

Lions: Lions’ quarterback carousel just keeps spinning, with newcomer Daunte Culpepper in line to start.

Panthers: Panthers, playing steady football, going for first 8-2 start since ’03 Super Bowl team. Running duo of Jonathan Stewart, DeAngelo Williams can control game.

Fantasy outlook: Lions rookie Kevin Smith has 5 TD runs, getting 4.3 yards a carry. Panthers’ Steve Smith 30 receptions, four TDs.

Injuries: Lions’ defensive end Jared DeVries (hand), Panthers’ center Ryan Kalil (ankle) expected out.

Eagles at Bengals

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Eagles by 9.

Records: Eagles (5-4);

Bengals (1-8)

Eagles: Haven’t been playing dominant football, 0-4 in games decided by a touchdown or less.

Bengals: Have had a couple weeks to savor only win after bye week. Young QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is improving.

Fantasy outlook: Eagles’ DeSean Jackson leads rookies with 38 receptions, 586 yards (15.4 avg., 1 TD). Bengals’ T. J. Houshmandzadeh third in NFL with 61 catches (3 TDs).

Injuries: Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer (elbow) will miss fifth straight game.

Bears at Packers

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Packers by 3 1/2 .

Records: Bears (5-4);

Packers (4-5)

Bears: With either Rex Grossman or Kyle Orton (ankle), generating offense an issue. RB Matt Forte can only do so much.

Packers: Have to shake off tough one-point loss at Minnesota. Bears’ weak pass defense will make QB Aaron Rodgers feel better.

Fantasy outlook: Bears tight end Desmond Clark caught a TD pass in last two games vs. Packers, but has no scores on 24 catches this season. Packers’ Greg Jennings having a huge season with 43 catches, 4 TDs.

Injuries: Packers middle linebacker Nick Barnett (knee) out for season … Bears Orton dealing with ankle.

Texans at Colts

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Colts by 8.

Records: Texans (3-6);

Colts (5-4)

Texans: Fading again and heat is growing on coach Gary Kubiak. Lost all six trips to Indianapolis.

Colts: With consecutive wins over the Patriots and Steelers, Colts positioning for wild-card run. Have to stay healthy.

Fantasy outlook: Texans rookie Steve Slaton, 4.4 yards per carry, 5 TDs, may have to carry a big load. Peyton Manning rounding into old form with 5 TD passes and no INT in two-game winning streak.

Injuries: Colts’ receiver Reggie Wayne (ankle).

Saints at Chiefs

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Saints by 5 1/2 .

Records: Saints (4-5); Chiefs (1-8)

Saints: With 2,985 passing yards already, Drew Brees on pace for NFL single-season yardage record. But that doesn’t always go with winning.

Chiefs: Running back Larry Johnson is due back after missing four games for disciplinary issues, but banged up on defense.

Fantasy outlook: Saints’ Lance Moore has emerged as a threat with 44 catches, 4 for TDs. Chiefs’ Tyler Thigpen 6 TD passes vs. zero interceptions in last three games.

Injuries: Chiefs’ defensive end Tamba Hali (groin) questionable; Chiefs guard Adrian Jones (ankle) questionable.

Raiders at Dolphins

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Dolphins by 10 1/2 .

Records: Raiders (2-7);

Dolphins (5-4)

Raiders: Another wasted season for the Raiders. Now, quarterback JaMarcus Russell is banged up.

Dolphins: Going for first 4-game win streak since ’06, possible run at the playoffs. Bill Parcells has made a quick difference.

Fantasy outlook: Tight end Zach Miller (25 catches, 1 TD) one of the Raiders’ few consistent weapons. Dolphins Chad Pennington completed 67.4 percent, 6 TDs, 4 INTs last 6 games.

Injuries: Raiders’ QB JaMarcus Russell (ankle).

Ravens at Giants

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Giants by 7.

Records: Ravens (6-3);

Giants (8-1)

Ravens: Is this the same franchise that not long ago considered a 17-16 game a high-scoring shootout? Ravens have won 4 straight by combined score of 134-63.

Giants: No. 1-ranked running game will be challenged by No. 1 rushing defense. But Eli Manning will find a way.

Fantasy outlook: Ravens rookie QB Joe Flacco has completed 61.6 percent, 6 TDs, no INTs in 4-game win streak. Giants Brandon Jacobs has 9 TD runs.

Injuries: Ravens have lost DBs Chris McAlister (knee), Dawan Landry (neck) for season, and OT Willie Anderson dealing with ankle.

Vikings at Buccaneers

Time: 10 a.m.

Line: Bucs by 4.

Records: Vikings (5-4);

Buccaneers (6-3)

Vikings: Small chance to win middling NFC North, and should be buoyed by win over Packers last week.

Bucs: Rested after a week off, will try to keep things moving with Jeff Garcia, who has won 3 of last 4 starts.

Fantasy outlook: Vikes’ Adrian Peterson leads NFL with 1,015 yards (4.9 avg.) and 5 of 7 rushing TDs on road. Bucs’ Antonio Bryant playing a bigger role, 45 catches, 2 TDs.

Injuries: Bucs RBs Earnest Graham (knee), Warrick Dunn (back) may be limited . .. Vikings’ DB Charles Gordon (ankle) out for year.

Rams at 49ers

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: 49ers by 6 1/2 .

Records: Rams (2-7); 49ers (2-7)

Rams: Long season getting longer for Rams, who managed to lose to the Jets by 44 points. Trip to San Francisco may not help.

49ers: Came within few yards of first win under Mike Singletary last week, but this may be the day. QB Shaun Hill has to make a few plays.

Fantasy outlook: Rams’ Steven Jackson has averaged 131 yards from scrimmage in last 4 games vs. 49ers, but he won’t play due to injury. San Francisco’s Frank Gore didn’t get the ball on the goal line last week, maybe this week he will.

Injuries: Rams’ RB Jackson dealing with thigh bruise.

Chargers at Steelers

Time: 1:15 p.m. TV: CBS

Line: Steelers by 5.

Records: Chargers (4-5);

Steelers (6-3)

Chargers: Run game 25th in league, Steelers own league’s top defense. Tough to pass to win at Pittsburgh.

Steelers: Can control ball with run game, dominant defense. In last 7 weeks, lost only to Giants.

Fantasy outlook: Chargers TE Antonio Gates has 38 catches, 6 TDs; Steelers’ Hines Ward has 43 catches, 5 TDs.

Injuries: Steelers TE Heath Miller (ankle) may be slowed.

Titans at Jaguars

Time: 1:15 p.m.

Line: Titans by 3.

Records: Titans (9-0);

Jaguars (4-5)

Titans: If loss coming, road game vs. division opponent is where it can happen. But they keep meeting challenges, and league-leading plus-10 turnover differential helps.

Jaguars: One of NFL’s underachievers showing no signs of snapping out of it.

Fantasy outlook: Titans TE Bo Scaife major weapon with 42 catches, 2 TDs. Jags’ Maurice Jones-Drew 2nd in NFL with 9 rush TDs, 4 in last 2 games.

Injuries: Titans’ DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (groin) not 100 percent.

Cowboys at Redskins

Time: 5:15 p.m. TV: NBC

Line: Cowboys by 1.

Records: Cowboys (5-4);

Redskins (6-3)

Cowboys: Expect QB Tony Romo, RB Felix Jones back from injury. Can they turn on all the engines right away? Doubt it.

Redskins: Consistent under 1st-year coach Jim Zorn with one clunker – loss to lowly Rams. Hold upper hand in rivalry, won 3 of last 4, including at Dallas on Sept. 28.

Fantasy outlook: Romo threw 14 TD passes, 5 INTs before finger injury. Redskins’ Clinton Portis, averaging 5.0 per carry, 7 rush TDs but bothered by sore knee, has rushed for more than 100 yards in last 2 vs. Cowboys.

Injuries: Cowboys TE Jason Witten dealing with sore ribs.
