Efron says he’s ‘Bourne’ again

Zac Efron, he of “High School Musical” and “Hairspray,” is used to being mobbed by teen and ’tween girls.

But his recent London experience was a bit different.

The Daily Mail reports that Efron was accosted by a bespectacled middle-aged man as he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens were exiting a theater in London’s West End. The man shouted and pointed at Efron and may have tried to grab his hair.

The incident, wrote a Mail columnist, “must have given (Efron) a taste of the darker side of fame.”

Efron told Entertainment Weekly that he deserves a CIA medal because of his stealth in avoiding the screamers.

“I’ve always loved secret-agent movies, whether it be James Bond or ‘Bourne Identity,’ ” he said. “Now I’m kind of living it.’ ”

You won’t see it, though. It’ll be made in Arabic exclusively for Middle Eastern audiences.
