Muscular Dystrophy Association – Offers free support groups for individuals and their families affected by neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, spinal muscular atrophy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), second Thursday of the month, 3-5 p.m., 140 S. National Alliance on Mental Illness, Family to Family – Meets the third Tuesday of every month; 6:30-8 p.m., Deaconess Health and Education Building, 910 W. Fifth Ave., room 267.
