Food graphic corrections

A graphic on the Food page Wednesday included an incorrect figure for the eggs consumed in a year, due to a reporter’s error. In 2006, Americans ate 251 eggs per capita. The graphic did not include the largest category of food consumed – wheat flour, at 135 pounds per person in 2006, due to a graphic artist’s error.

Splash pad hours incorrect

A brief in some editions of the Voices contained the following errors: Splash pad hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, but pool hours vary by site. Also, only A.M. Cannon and Shadle pools currently are open; Hillyard and Comstock pools will open Aug. 12 and Liberty and Witter pools are still under construction.

Manson serving at Corcoran

Charles Manson is serving a life sentence in Corcoran State Prison in California. An Associated Press story in Thursday’s paper had the wrong prison.
