Pet photos sought for calendar contest

SPOKANE COUNTY – The Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St., will be collecting digital photographs through Sept. 15 for their Pet Calendar Photo Contest.

The winners of the photo contest will be included in the 2010 calendar, an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society.

The cost to enter is $25.

Golf benefit for St. Patrick School

HILLYARD – St. Patrick Catholic School will host a benefit golf tournament and dinner Sept. 12 at Pasadena Ridge Golf Course, 4710 N. Pasadena Lane. Check-in for golf at 1 p.m.; dinner will be served at 5:30.

Cost is $50 per person for golf and dinner or $25 for dinner only.

Proceeds will fund tuition scholarships for children of low-income families in the greater Hillyard community.
