Crash on Ruby Street yields arrest

The Spokesman-Review
A driver fleeing the scene of a traffic accident at North Foothills Drive and Ruby Street this morning was arrested by police officers a short distance away, police said. The collision occurred when David A. Gretsch attempted to his white Isuzu Trooper turn left onto Ruby while eastbound and hit an oncoming red truck. Police arrested Gretsch, who had a warrant for driving while licensed suspended, near Mayfair and Cleveland. Officers found methamphetamine in Gretsh’s Isuzu, according to a news release, and he was booked into Spokane County Jail on the warrant as well as charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and hit and run.
