Peak Fitness Pump in the Park – Thursday at Q’emiln Park in Post Falls. Class starts at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. Annual event includes a 100-plus person Body Pump class followed by a full barbecue dinner catered by Rob Elder and Hot Rod Cafe. Youth Mini Triathlon – Saturday for kids ages 4-12. Check in begins at 8 a.m., followed by a mandatory 9:30 a.m. pre-race meeting at McGrane Center at Kootenai Health, 2003 Lincoln Way. Categories will be divided by age to include an age-specific course with running, swimming and biking. Youngest age group event begins at 10 a.m. Sponsored by volunteers from Kootenai Health Rehabilitation Services. Proceeds benefit children’s services at Kootenai Health. Early pre-registration is $17 before Aug. 25, and then $20 after. Participants receive a t-shirt and all finishers received awards.
