Firefighters respond to Mayfair Ave. fire

The Spokesman-Review
Spokane firefighters this morning were trying to extinguish a blaze that broke out this morning in a house at North Mayfair Street in the vicinity of East Cleveland Avenue. The fire one block east of Division Street about 9:45 a.m. was apparently burning inside a wall, and sending smoke upward. Reports from the scene indicated that no one was inside. Several engines were on the scene, and firefigthers had prepared hoses for bringing water from a hydrant.
