St. George’s rallies to beat Selkirk

Lena Leverett-Standal and Lizzie McQuade combined for 12 fourth-quarter points Tuesday night, leading visiting St. George’s to a 47-39 comeback win over Panorama League rival Selkirk at Ione.

Leverett-Standal finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Dragons (11-6, 9-2) outscored the Rangers (10-8, 7-4) 20-11 in the final period. St. George’s took the lead for good with 6 minutes left and moved into a tie with idle Springdale atop the 2B standings.

St. Michael’s 55, Northport 23: Katie Urann finished with a game-high 16 points as the visiting Warriors (6-11, 5-10) thumped the Mustangs (0-18, 0-15).

Wellpinit 65, Inchelium 62 (OT): Lauren Flett knocked down four 3-pointers, including one in overtime, and finished with 21 points as the visiting Redskins (5-12, 4-10) edged the Hornets (8-9, 6-8). Inchelium’s Jordan Signor scored a game-high 22 points.

4A Region I playoffs

Lakeland 48, Sandpoint 31: Camille Reynolds scored 12 points as the Hawks (5-11) slipped past the host Bulldogs (2-10) in a first-round matchup. Lakeland plays at Moscow on Thursday. Sandpoint takes on the loser of that game Saturday.

District 9 North

Colton 52, St. John-Endicott 39: Kelsey Moser dumped in 16 points and teammate Courtney Druffel added 13 as the top-ranked and league-leading Wildcats (17-0, 9-0) posted a decisive road win over the second-place Eagles (12-3, 6-3). SJE’s Kelly Van Lith scored 15 points.

The victory secured the league title and the top seed in the district tournament for Colton.

Bi-County League 1B

Sprague-Harrington 49, Odessa 30: Katlyn Lohman poured in 20 points and teammates Justyne Talkington and Micayla Oldham combined for 22 more as the Falcons (5-9, 4-1) rolled over the visiting Tigers (3-12, 2-3).

Mariah Davison finished with 11 points for Odessa.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 59, Wilbur-Creston 13: Sarah Gloyn dumped in 17 points to lead a balanced scoring attack as the visiting Warriors (16-1, 4-0) throttled the Wildcats (0-14, 0-5).

Megan Osborne finished with 12 points for the winners, while teammate Kodi Noggles added 11.

Bi-County League 2B

Lind-Ritzville 46, Liberty 36: Kelsey Arlt finished with a team-high 11 points and Devon Killian scored eight of her 10 in the fourth quarter as the Broncos (12-6, 7-3) turned back the visiting Lancers (12-6, 5-5).

Davenport 45, Northwest Christian 40: Mariah Mielke scored 21 points as the Gorillas (11-6, 7-4), withstood the 1-2 punch of Bryanna Bailey and Jessica Dahm, who combined to score all 40 points for the visiting Crusaders (2-15, 0-10).

Reardan 33, Valley Christian 29: Sara Wilke scored 11 points and finished as the only player in double figures as the visiting Indians (8-10, 5-6) edged the Panthers (2-15, 0-10) in a low-scoring affair.

Great Northern League

Cheney 43, Deer Park 33: Allie Brown scored eight of her team-high 14 points in the second quarter as the Blackhawks (5-9, 4-4) rallied from a 7-2 first-quarter deficit to beat the visiting Stags (3-11, 2-6).

Back-to-back 3-pointers by Jenna Hatch to open the second half put Cheney in control for good.

West Valley 55, Riverside 29: Shaniqua Nilles scored eight of her game-high 18 points in the second quarter and finished with 14 rebounds to post a double-double in leading the Eagles (11-3, 5-3) past the visiting Rams (1-12, 1-7). Riverside was paced by Naomi Zanoni’s 12 points – all of which came in the second half.

Northeast A League

Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 61, Kettle Falls 48: Kendra Lahue and Leslie Stillar each finished with 16 points for the Eagles (11-7, 5-2), who used a 9-0 second-quarter run to help turn back the visiting Bulldogs (9-9, 3-4).

Chelsea Brisbois and Jessice Coots combined for 22 points for Kettle Falls in a losing cause.

Non-league

Kellogg 47, Wallace 32: Chelsea Morgan scored a team-high 12 points and Hailey Fuller added nine points and eight rebounds as the Wildcats (8-8) turned aside the visiting Miners (6-5), despite Taylor Pasley’s game-high 17 points.

LaCrosse-Washtucna 39, Touchet 34: Gladys Martinez and Kelly Zimmer combined to score 22 and lead the Tigercats (6-8) past the host Indians. Dorman Huesby had 10 points and nine rebounds for Touchet.
