Delectable Difference
A lot of people looking for healthier food choices are turning to soy and finding not just a nutritious surprise, but a delicious one.
Cholesterol-free, low in fat and filled with high quality protein, soy is rapidly gaining acceptance in homes all around the country. Adding soy in any form – tofu, tempeh, or soymilk – can provide significant health benefits to most people. Soy has been linked to the reduction of heart disease and to maintaining strong bones.
“Next time you’re in the kitchen, try using soymilk whenever a recipe calls for milk,” suggests Helen Roberts, manager of culinary development for Kikkoman Sales USA, Inc. “As a versatile and flavorful ingredient, it can be used in anything from soups and casseroles to breads and desserts. You can even take your mother’s macaroni and cheese and update it with soymilk.”
Created by Kikkoman, the company that introduced soy sauce to America, Pearl Organic Soymilk is made with whole soybeans, organic ingredients, contains seven grams of soy protein per serving and is preservative-free. It’s also lactose free, making it a good option for people with lactose sensitivities.
