Five local bands compete at RAWK

Five local bands face off in the “2009 RAWK Final Four” on Saturday.

Yes, five – because a wild card selected by the RAWK board of directors, Bodhi Drip, joins the winners of the four preliminary rounds: Death by Adam, Green Light Go, Raw Nerve and Olaf Olaf Olaf.

Music gets under way at 6 p.m. at the Service Station, 9315 N. Nevada St. Tickets are $8 in advance, through TicketsWest outlets (509-325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com), and $10 at the door.

The winning band will receive a weekend at a Seattle recording studio, a free photo shoot and a Thin Air Radio appearance, along with a cash prize. For more information, see rawkonline.com.
