4A/3A pairings are set

First-round matchups for 4A and 3A regional boys and girls basketball tournaments were finalized Saturday.

Greater Spokane League top-seeded Gonzaga Prep will open boys play by hosting Columbia Basin Big Nine No. 4 Richland at 6 p.m. Tuesday. GSL No. 2 Lewis and Clark will travel to CBBN No. 3 Pasco at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In the 4A tourney, GSL No. 1 Mead will host CBBN No. 4 Eastmont at 6 p.m. GSL No. 2 LC will travel to CBBN No. 3 Walla Walla at 6 p.m. Both games are Tuesday.

In the boys 3A, GSL No. 3 Mt. Spokane will play at CBBN No. 2 Sunnyside at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The winner takes on GSL No. 1 Shadle Park at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Rogers High.

Also Tuesday, GSL No. 2 North Central will host GSL No. 4 Rogers at 6 p.m. The winner takes on CBBN No. 1 West Valley (Yakima) at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Rogers.

In girls 3A, GSL No. 3 Mt. Spokane travels to CBBN No. 2 Hanford at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The winner plays GSL No. 1 Shadle at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rogers

GSL No. 2 East Valley will host GSL No. 4 NC at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The winner plays CBBN No. 1 West Valley (Yakima) at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Rogers.
