EASTERN WASHINGTON EAGLES

RECORD: 7-6 overall, 1-0 Big Sky

COMING UP: Friday at Northern Arizona, 6:05 p.m.; Sunday at Sacramento State, 2:05.

OUTLOOK: Eastern returns to Big Sky Conference play for the first time since Dec. 6, when it knocked off visiting Montana State 61-55 in the league opener for both teams. The Eagles face a difficult test against an NAU team that figures to contend for the BSC title. The Lumberjacks suffered an 81-79 road loss to Northern Colorado in their conference opener on Monday, but EWU coach Kirk Earlywine still considers them dangerous. On Sunday, the Eagles face a Sacramento State team (1-12, 0-0) that opens Big Sky play at home against Portland State on Friday. The Hornets have been outscored by an average of almost 14 points per game.
