Grizzlies win on 3-pointer
Dyland Zickler hit a 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer to give the Newport Grizzlies a 56-53 non-league victory over the Kellogg Wildcats Saturday night at Newport.
Zickler finished with 20 points and also added eight rebounds and hit 7 of 8 free throws.
Kellogg’s Brad Osterberg-Miller hit a layup with 4 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 48.
With the score tied at 53 with 1 minute remaining in the extra session, the Grizzlies ran the clock down to set up Zickler’s winner.
Devon Willenbrock added 14 points for Newport (6-5) while Jeremiah Schultz had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Seth Ketchum led the Wildcats (4-3) with 16 points.
Wenatchee 67, Coeur d’Alene 54: At Wenatchee, Austin Bryan scored 28 points for the Panthers to offset a career-high 35 from the Vikings’ Devon Austin. Coeur d’Alene fell to 3-5.
Post Falls 52, Woodinville (Wash.) 41: At Woodinville, Justin Carter scored 15 points and the Trojans (7-0) – playing their fifth game in six days – outlasted the Falcons. Connor Hill added 12 points, with three 3-pointers, for Post Falls.
Cheney 58, Lake Roosevelt 48: At Cheney, Mike Sprenger scored 15 points and Sam Shellabarger added 12 to lead the Blackhawks (2-4) past the Raiders. Cade Egbert scored 21 and Ed Wolfe 10 for Lake Roosevelt.
Pullman 52, Lakeland 38: At Pullman, Jaime Fertakis, Jaron Hodge and AJ Therrien scored 12 points apiece and Hodge also had 12 rebounds to lead the Greyhounds (3-3) past the Hawks (2-5). Lakeland’s Austin Black scored 10.
Bonners Ferry 52, Clark Fork 44: At Clark Fork, the Badgers (2-3) outlasted the Wampus Cats (1-5). No details were reported.
Chewelah 61, Selkirk 27: At Chewelah, Stryker Smith and Jon Polm combined for 18 points in the third quarter when the Cougars (7-2) outscored the Rangers (7-1) 21-2 and cruised to a victory. Smith finished with 20 points – half of those in the third quarter – and eight rebounds and Polm had 11 points for Chewelah.
Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 53, Medical Lake 48: Brady Blankevoort and Dillon Watkins combined for 30 points and had 12 rebounds apiece to guide a 37-17 advantage as the visiting Eagles (5-6) defeated the Cardinals (3-3).
Freeman 49, Asotin 28: At Asotin, Taylor Vold scored 16 points and Luke Matthews added 10 to give the Scotties (7-1) a victory over the Panthers (2-1). Freeman outscored Asotin 30-14 in the second half.
Okanogan 79, Kettle Falls 62: At Kettle Falls, Dakotah Condon scored 21 points and Ryan Price added 17 in Okanogan’s victory over Kettle Falls (1-6) in a battle of Bulldogs. Shelby Hite scored 20 and Kolton McInelly 12 for Kettle Falls.
Lapwai 58, Lakeside (Plummer) 44: At Plummer, the Wildcats outscored the Knights 33-10 in the middle two quarters en route to the victory. Merlin Weaselhead scored 11 points to pace Lakeside (2-4).
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 61, Liberty 54: At Coulee City, Cody Jess, Derek Isaak and Garrett Jess combined for 45 points to lead the Warriors (5-3) past the Lancers (3-3).
Bi-County 2B League
Lind-Ritzville 63, Valley Christian 52: At Ritzville, Jamie Stevenson had 24 points and five steals and Colby Olson had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Broncos (3-2, 1-1) past the Panthers (1-4, 0-1). Jamie Bennett scored 22 and Jeff Pope 18 for Valley Christian.
Northwest Christian 54, Reardan 23: At Colbert, Matt Zandbergen had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the host Crusaders (6-0, 1-0) past the Indians (1-6, 0-2). Chase Ramey added 12 points Cameron Stephens 11 – seven in the first quarter – and eight rebounds for Northwest Christian. Grant Schultz scored nine for Reardan.
Colfax 74, Davenport 54: Ryan Conrad and Caleb Bravard combined for 46 points, and the visiting Bulldogs (4-2, 2-0) hit 7 of 17 on 3-pointers to defeat the Gorillas (3-1, 1-1).

Wilbur-Creston 37, Sprague-Harrington 36: Austin Snavely scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half and the visiting Wildcats (3-2, 1-0) held off the Falcons (1-3, 0-1). John Courneya led Sprague-Harrington with 11 points.
District 9 North League
Garfield-Palouse 50, Rosalia 48 (OT): At Rosalia, Tyson Palmer scored 14 points and Todd Pinter put in 12 and the Vikings (6-1, 4-0) held off the Spartans in overtime (5-3, 1-2). Jim Maley and Zach St. John scored 12 apiece for Rosalia. Maley’s 12-foot jumper in the final second of regulation sent the game to overtime. Maley and Nathan Richards had 12 rebounds each. Michael Jacobs had 14 rebounds and three steals for Gar-Pal.
Panorama League
Wellpinit 75, Curlew 51: At Wellpinit, Kennedy Seyler and Drake Wynne scored 18 points apiece and Billy Flett and Dakota Ford added 13 each to lead the Redskins (4-1, 2-0) by the Cougars (5-3, 2-3). Cody Flett added 11 points, seven rebounds and eight assists for Wellpinit. Jordan Wakefield scored 23 points and hauled down 20 rebounds for Curlew, while Ethan Mannick scored 13.
