Lakeside slips past Medical Lake

Leslie Stillar and Kendra Lahue combined for 19 of Lakeside’s 20 fourth-quarter points and the Nine Mile Falls school went on to a 45-42 non-league victory over the Medical Lake Cardinals at Medical Lake.

Stillar scored all 10 of her points in the fourth quarter while Lahue scored nine of her 13.

Lexie Zappone’s 3-pointer with 2 minutes remaining put the Eagles (6-5) ahead for good.

Marissa Propeck had 12 points and Gabrielle Daily 10 for Medical Lake (2-2).

Lakeland 71, St. Maries 46: At Rathdrum, Camille Reynolds scored 11 of her 15 points in the second half to help the host Hawks (8-2) past the Lumberjacks (4-5). Ali Whitted pulled down 10 rebounds for Lakeland. Karly Truscott scored 14 points for St. Maries.

Lapwai 62, Kellogg 30: At Kellogg, the mightier Wildcats were the ones from Lapwai, outscoring Kellogg 37-14 in the second half for a convincing victory. Chelsea Morgan had 11 points and Marah Ashcraft 10 for Kellogg (2-5).

Kettle Falls 64, Okanogan 46: At Kettle Falls, Sami Mangini led a quartet of Kettle Falls Bulldogs (5-4) in double figures with 13 points in a victory over the Okanogan Bulldogs. Jessica Coots and Dakoda Rogalette added 12 apiece and Chelsea Brisbois 10 for Kettle Falls.

Lake Roosevelt 49, Cheney 43: At Cheney, Melissa Meza scored 24 points – 13 in the first half and 11 in the second – to give the Raiders a victory over the Blackhawks (1-5). Mayatat Ball-Bart added 12 points for Lake Roosevelt. Allie Brown and Laikyn Brophy had 14 apiece to pace Cheney.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 56, Liberty 48: At Coulee City, Nikki Osborne scored 11 of her 24 points in the first quarter and also had 13 rebounds to lead the Warriors (7-0) past the Lancers (5-1) in a battle of unbeatens. Madeline Isaak had 16 points and seven assists for Almira/Coulee-Hartline. Teara Cornmesser led Liberty with 14 points.

Selkirk 50, Chewelah 42: At Chewelah, Maria Villegas scored eight of her 21 points in the fourth quarter when the Rangers (4-4) broke away from a 42-42 tie to beat the Cougars (1-8). Daneen Green added 10 points for Selkirk, which made 13 of 19 free throws in the game. Chewelah, which got 13 points from Samantha Beamer and 12 from Liz Cobb, was just 4 of 7.

Bi-County 2B League

Colfax 65, Davenport 49: At Davenport, Rachel Johnson and Kayla Johnson scored 12 points each to pace the Bulldogs (5-1, 2-0) past the Gorillas (0-3, 0-2). Katie Vesneske and Alysha Brantley scored 10 apiece for Davenport.

Lind-Ritzville 52, Valley Christian 18: At Ritzville, Heather Whitmore scored 12 points and Heather Arlt 11 as the Broncos (2-3, 1-1) routed the Panthers (0-5, 0-1). Emmy Bouwman had nine points, eight rebounds and six steals for Lind-Ritzville. Katie Worley paced Valley Christian with eight points.

Northwest Christian 48, Reardan 45: At Colbert, Colbi Neal had 18 points and Bryanna Bailey had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals as the host Crusaders (4-2, 1-0) outlasted the Indians (4-3, 1-1). Ynaisia Van Komen led Reardan with 18 points.

Bi-County 1B League

Sprague-Harrington 42, Wilbur-Creston 22: Justyne Talkington, Lacey Hirst and Hillary Hayes scored eight points apiece to lead the homestanding Falcons (2-2, 2-0) past the Wildcats (0-5, 0-1). Kelsey Beaver scored six for Wilbur-Creston.

District 9 North League

Garfield-Palouse 47, Rosalia 35: At Rosalia, Elisha Lopez had 13 points and nine rebounds to give the Vikings (6-1, 3-0) a victory over the Spartans (3-5, 0-3). Shealyn Weagraff added 10 points for Garfield-Palouse. Meaghan Reddish and Sam Wilson scored nine apiece for Rosalia.

Panorama League

Curlew 38, Wellpinit 30: At Wellpinit, Larissa Miller scored 12 points and Noel Meyer scored six of her 10 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Cougars (5-3, 3-2) past the Redskins (1-4, 0-2). Niquie Ali scored 13 for Wellpinit.
