RECORD: 7-8 overall, 1-1 WAC
COMING UP: Tonight vs. Hawaii, 7:05
OUTLOOK: Coming off a successful road split at Nevada and Utah State – two of the toughest places to play in the Western Athletic Conference – the Vandals enter this matchup with Hawaii (9-5) with a good share of confidence. Tonight’s game will cap a brutal stretch for the Vandals of three games in five days, all in different states. “That schedule wasn’t fair for us,” UI coach Don Verlin said. “No one starts like that.” Remarkably, the Rainbows have played only one road game this season, a 10-point loss at Illinois. Roderick Flemings leads Hawaii and the WAC in scoring (17.8 ppg) while pulling down 6.3 rebounds per game.
