At a glance: Idaho Vandals

RECORD: 8-10 overall, 2-3 WAC

COMING UP: Saturday vs. New Mexico State, 7:05 p.m., Kibbie Dome

OUTLOOK: A 0-2 road trip last week has tempered a bit of the buzz that was building for the Vandals in the early part of WAC play. Still, Idaho fans have reasons to stay encouraged. The club should have the services of two key reserves, guard Brandon Brown and post Luis Augusto, who have been sidelined with health issues since early December. Saturday’s clash with the Aggies (9-9, 3-2) also starts a stretch of five home games in the next three weeks, buffered by a trip to Hawaii on Feb. 8. Expect UI to be fired up on Saturday. Nine days after collapsing in the final 3 minutes at NMSU, it gets another crack at the Aggies.
