Two charged in theft of cards

A former employee was cited Wednesday after he allegedly stole decks of cards from the Fred Meyer store at Sprague and Sullivan.

Store security officers watched two men put the cards into their pockets and leave without paying, said Spokane Valley Police Department spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan. Police cited Dominic F. Davis and Christopher J. Reeder, both 20, for third-degree theft.

Davis, a former store employee, reportedly told police he didn’t think the cards had a security device.
