Signed Free agent guard Jannero Pargo has signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls. Terms were not disclosed Monday. The 6-foot-1 guard, known for his outside shooting, was also with Chicago from 2003-06.

Died Former Pacific-10 commissioner Wiles Hallock, who oversaw the league’s expansion from eight to 10 teams, died at his home in Walnut Creek, Calif. He was 91. No cause of death was given.

Running Triple world champion Tyson Gay will run the 200 meters at the London Grand Prix later this month as part of his preparations for the world championships in Berlin.

Acquired The Denver Nuggets acquired Arron Afflalo and Walter Sharpe from Detroit in exchange for a future second-round draft pick. The Nuggets also received cash in the deal. The Pistons freed up close to $1.8 million in salary cap space.

Signed The Cleveland Cavaliers announced they have signed veteran free-agent Anthony Parker to add depth to the backcourt. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reached The Phoenix Suns have reached a contract agreement with free-agent center Channing Frye. Frye agreed to a two-year contract with the second year at his option. He will earn about $2 million next season.

Re-signed The New York Rangers are bringing back forward Ryan Callahan, coming to terms with the restricted free agent on a multiyear deal. … Defenseman James Wisniewski has signed a one-year deal to stay with the Anaheim Ducks.

Retiring Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason told a sports Web site he’s retiring from the NFL. But Mason has not informed the team of his decision.

Added Third-round draft pick Roy Miller has agreed to a four-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To make room on the roster for Miller, backup quarterback Brian Griese was released.

Released The New York Jets have released veteran tight end Bubba Franks. Franks caught six passes for 47 yards in eight games, including four starts, after signing with the Jets last season.
