Sports physicals offered free
POST FALLS – Young athletes soon to return to the region’s middle schools and high schools may receive free sports physicals Thursday between noon and 4:30 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Pediatrics’ Post Falls office in the Kootenai Health Park, 1300 E. Mullan Ave.
The program, now in its 12th year, is sponsored by Coeur d’Alene Pediatrics, Kootenai Health and Panhandle Health District.
Exams will be done on a first come, first served basis. No registration is necessary. All students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to be eligible for exams.
In addition to comprehensive sports physicals, full musculo-skeletal exams from Kootenai Health physical therapists will be provided. Exams meet most area schools’ physical exam requirements for participation in organized sports programs.
A second round of free exams will be offered Aug. 13 in Hayden.

Talent show open to all
POST FALLS – All local musicians, singers, dancers, thespians and magicians are invited to share their talents with the community in a talent show at the first Post Falls Library Courtyard Concert on Aug. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The show will be judged and prizes will be awarded.

Classes to cover digital-camera use
POST FALLS – The Post Falls Library, 821 N. Spokane St., will conduct a digital-photo boot camps on Aug. 13 and Aug. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The classes will instruct participants how to use their digital cameras. They will be taught by David Pafford, a retired Marine Corps combat photographer. He is also a professional educator.
The first session of the camp will teach participants how to use their owner’s manuals and the basic technologies common to all digital still cameras; the second session will focus on initial digital photographic skills.
The workshops are free and open to the public. Preregistration is required.

Church event will be in August
POST FALLS – Post Falls Baptist Church, 1608 N. Spokane St., will host its 11th annual Living Water Camp Meeting Aug. 9 through Aug. 14.
Sunday services will be at 8 and 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Services Monday through Friday will be at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. The church will also provide a free dinner to the community during the week at 5 p.m.
Preachers from across the U.S. will visit Post Falls Baptist during the camp.
The public is invited to attend any and all services.
