For her, this one really bites

Lefevre (The Spokesman-Review)
From Wire Reports

Bryce Dallas Howard is taking over as the villainous vampire Victoria in the third “Twilight” movie – and the actress who’s played the part in the first two films says she was “stunned” and “hurt deeply” by the switch.

Rachelle Lefevre says she was unaware Summit Entertainment had chosen someone else to play her part in “Eclipse.”

Summit announced Howard (“Spider-Man 3,” “Terminator Salvation”) as her replacement Tuesday because of scheduling conflicts.

But Lefevre insists she was “fully committed” to returning as Victoria, saying she would have been gone for only 10 days shooting the upcoming drama “Barney’s Version” with Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman

Says Summit: “It is not about a 10-day overlap, but instead about the fact that ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.”

Fans are circulating online petitions urging Lefevre’s return.

Greener pastures?

“Redneck Woman” singer Gretchen Wilson plans to start her own record label after five years with Sony Music Nashville.

Given turnover at Sony, she says, “It started feeling like it wasn’t my family anymore.”

Casting it all away

Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on “Gilligan’s Island,” is auctioning the contents of her Driggs, Idaho home Saturday.

Wells, 71, will sign autographs for all buyers. Items up for bid include a 1970 Ford F150 pickup, antique Chinese rug and boxes of lace made by her grandmother.
