Dubai is synonymous with glitz and excess – but can the Middle Eastern hotspot handle Paris Hilton?

The United Arab Emirates city will be the location for an upcoming edition of the reality series “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.”

Producer Michael Hirschorn said participants will respect the culture of the region, and will be “walked through in great detail what is expected,” adding: “I think some of the comedy will come out of the learning about the dress and the behavior.”

He said the plan is to build “My New BFF” into a global franchise, with Hilton searching for BFFs around the world.

Hilton, 28, previously filmed two seasons in Los Angeles for MTV and one in London for British television. The second season of the American edition premiered Tuesday.

Houston, we have an album

Whitney Houston’s long-awaited comeback album – her first in seven years – will be released Sept. 1, Arista Records announced.

The 45-year-old Houston is one of the best-selling artists of all-time, but in recent years, she’s been defined more by drug problems, marital woes and erratic behavior than by her Grammy-winning voice.

You go, sister – er, brother

Watch out, Beyonce Joe Jonas is stealing your dance moves.

In the latest “Single Ladies” spoof, the middle Jonas brother tries to crib the diva’s dance style in a new online video, wearing a black catsuit and matching high heels.

The JoBros’ fourth album, “Lines, Vines and Trying Times,” is set for release June 16.
