Auditions

“The Pirates of Penzance” – Spokane Civic Theatre, Aug. 3-4, 6:30 p.m., at the theater, 1020 N. Howard St. Needed: 16 men and eight to 10 women. Auditioners will perform a verse and a chorus from either a Gilbert and Sullivan piece or a classic musical, in addition to cold readings from the script. Art on the Edge Youth Classes Parade camp “Where the Wild Things Are” – Build a float complete with fantastic creatures, for grades 1-5, Tuesday-July 4, AOE Studio. Pottery workshop – Hand building and throwing techniques, for grades 6-12. July 7-9, 1-3 p.m., AOE Studio. Soap making – For elementary students. July 14-15, 1-3 p.m., AOE Studio. Bike rack and bench design competition – Spokane Arts Commission is seeking artists to design bike racks and benches for neighborhoods throughout Spokane.
